Taylor Swift iPhone App

taylor swift appCountry music superstar Taylor Swift — or, more likely, her “people” — generously loaded her eponymous artist app for iPhone with songs spanning her entire career, right up to her latest release, which her fans can stream from within the app. Those songs are the centerpiece of this solid-if-not-terribly innovative artist app (designed by Mobile Roadie), but the’re not the only item on the menu.

A consistently updated news feed keeps fans in the know about all the latest news surrounding the artist, while an expansive photo gallery suite offers an array of publicity and promo pics of Swift organized in an easy-to-browse layout.

However, you don’t just get manicured stuff from her publicists; the videos section features mostly videos that were submitted by Taylor Swift fans — testimonials for Ms. Swift by fans mostly about how much she has inspired them. In addition, a fan “wall” lets devotees interact with one another in the style of Facebook.

An interactive map shows the location of other Taylor Swift fans in your area, which is a nice touch if you’re looking for kindred spirits. The app also includes a concise biography on Taylor, a complete discography with track listings for each album, and a link to a merchandise store. Overall, it’s a well-rounded app with a nice mix of official and fan-generated information.
