Underoath iPhone App

underoath appUnderoath based its popular artist app around the band’s latest album, Disambiguation. The app’s home screen, customizable with any of five background wallpapers, includes a nice selection of options for helping fans stay on top of the band.

The music section of the Underoath iPhone app includes only a small range of tunes by the band, but you will find most of Underoath’s popular tracks for full-track streaming (unlike many other artist apps, which only include 30-second samples) or purchase. The news section of this app (designed by Mobile Roadie) serves up official Underoath current events from the band’s website and Twitter account.

Fans can chat with each other on a fan wall and find each other on an interactive map, as with Taylor Swift’s app, also designed by Mobile Roadie. The “more” section provides an informative band biography, comprehensive discography, photos, music videos, and a link to their store for T-shirts and other paraphernalia.

All in all, this app provides a nice balance of official and fan-generated stuff to keep the Underoath fan occupied.
